  1. hello Einstein I've prayed for your people and the folk in York and cumbria the pm has been to see in his wellys but we're all connected Einstein give humans a feather hug God bless hope that box comes lol the pest xxx

  2. Brilliant. Kofi learned "pineapple" by combining apple & banana into "banapple". He also sometimes combines cranberry with apple and asks me for "crapple". I'm never quite sure how to respond to this.

  3. It needs time to get used to it's new surroundings. Let it rest and don't force it to do anything it doesn't want to. Do a search "bringing a new parrot home". It will give you a lot of information.

  4. I have a young gray, hatched August 4th of this year. He is coming along nicely, but I am having trouble finding reputable information on training. Any suggestions? You have certainly done a great job with Einstein!

  5. Yes, they can live to be very old. No worries, Einstein will be taken care of when the time comes. Usually, parrots are re-homed (hopefully to good homes) when their caretaker dies. Some go to parrot rescue organizations for re-homing.

  6. Parrots have been known to mix words for things they don't know the word for!

Example – Alex the African Grey Parrot called an apple a "banerry", a portmanteau of banana and cherry, two things he could identify before, because he wasn't taught at that point to recognize and label an apple with the word "apple".

    Neat, eh?
